Account types
The seven things an address on your domain can be: a domain user, a group, a forwarder, a mailing list, a rejector, a send-only account, or a relayer. How to choose, and what each one asks for.
Email policies
The domain-wide defaults every mailbox inherits. How users can sign in, which mail protocols they can reach, and the per-user limits. What "enforced" means, and where a user can override a value.
Delete old mail
Set a retention period and the server deletes mail once it reaches that age. What it removes (including Sent and flagged mail), what it doesn't, and why the clock starts at arrival rather than the send date.
System Mailbox
The one mailbox every account has, for mail the account generates or must receive: the output of scheduled jobs, and postmaster@ and abuse@ for each domain. You read it from the panel, and it keeps mail for 30 days.
Spam filter
Spam scores and thresholds, and the account-wide allow and deny lists. How the panel decides what's spam, and how you overrule it.
Sieve filtering
Each mailbox's Sieve scripts sort accepted mail into folders. How they run, why the panel only lets you view and remove them, and what that means for a compromised mailbox.
Mailing Lists
Distribute mail to an audience that changes, including external addresses, with member roles, moderation by email, one-click unsubscribe, an archive, and automatic bounce handling.
Email Traffic Log
The delivery record of every message, and the mailbox access log. The evidence for what mail moved and who signed in.
Trace a single message
The identifiers a message carries in its headers, how to look up a delivery from them, and how to send a message on unchanged, as an attachment.
Sendmail Failures
Why mail your programs sent with a direct call to sendmail, rather than authenticated SMTP, never left the server. The panel records each refusal by sender and reason, and sends one notice a day to your system mailbox.
Email Trash
Where the raw mailbox data of a deleted domain account waits for one week before it's removed permanently. How to download or delete it, and what it is not.
Sender verification
SPF, DKIM, and DMARC in plain words. What the panel publishes for you, why DMARC defaults to reject, and when to change a policy.
SPF Record Publication
Add the SPF record each mail service gives you. The panel merges, examines, flattens, and divides the result for you.
Third-party mail gateway
Route a domain's mail through an external anti-spam appliance, compliance filter, or smarthost. The incoming and outgoing gateways, what each field is for, and how DNS and authentication keep working.
Trusted forwarders
Stop DMARC from refusing legitimate forwarded mail, e.g. from a mailing list, an alumni address, or an old mailbox, by trusting the forwarder's ARC seal for your domain.
Relay to your own server
Keep your MX with us while a server you run handles some of your mail. Relayed domain users, the Relayer account type, the two ways mail reaches your server, and what happens when your server doesn't answer.
Outgoing Quarantine
When the panel holds a mailbox's or send-only account's outgoing mail for review. What the quarantine does, the automatic rules that start it, what you see, what you can do, and why ending a quarantine you didn't start needs a lockdown.
Outgoing Mail Queue
Mail your mailboxes and send-only accounts sent that the server hasn't delivered yet. The state of each message, why a message waits, and where you see the queue.
